An update from Karen about the dates for the Pre-Code Blogathon!

  3. Wow, this looks like a terrific roster! May I take on Letty Lynton (and Crawford’s many fabulous costumes)? I’d like to post on the last day of the blogathon, if that’s possible. Thanks!

  4. Is it too late to get involved, Karen? I’d love to do something on Dorothy Mackaill for Let’s Misbehave.

  5. So excited!

  6. It’s going to make for some interesting reads !!! 🙂

  8. That is a fabulous gif with Barbara Stanwyck. She had a good right hook!

  9. Reblogged this on Noirish.

  10. Hey! I’m on the schedule for tomorrow and need an extra day if that’s possible… or else I can post one of the three movies tomorrow and the other two Thursday. Will either of those things not trip things up? I know you have a boatload of posts to manage and don’t want to be a bother.

It’s Lesley from, so we’re talking about Scarlet Empress, Shanghai Express, and The Bitter Tea of General Yen.

  11. Howdy! If it isn’t too late, could you add us to the pre-code roster? We just posted an article on The Phantom of Crestwood ( 1932 ). After watching the film a few days ago, I couldn’t resist doing a write-up on it. – Diana & Constance Metzinger ( Silver Scenes ).

    • Sure thing, Constance — we added you to today’s line-up! It’s on the recap post on my blog (Shadows and Satin) and it will also be included in our wrap-up of the entire event, which will be posted on Saturday. Glad to have y’all aboard!
